Cinematic Summer Open Air

An exclusive summer evening, open-air concert series will take place at the Kálnoky Castle in Micloșoara This summer, the courtyard of the Kálnoky Castle in Miklósvár will once again host the Kálnoky Castle Concerts series, offering the audience truly cinematic moments outdoors under the starry sky.

The season, titled Cinematic Summer Open Air, offers an unforgettable journey into the world of contemporary film scores, alternative pop, and classic chansons on three occasions. The concerts provide a perfect summer getaway, making them ideal weekend programs for groups of friends, families, or a cozy romantic evening.

The participation fee for the concerts is 250 RON per person, which provides a comprehensive experience: in addition to the high-quality musical performance, it includes an elegant buffet dinner and a starlit afterparty following the concert.

City of Stars: London Grammar & La La Land 

June 13, 2026, 21:15 

Performers: Botond Szőcs on piano and Előd Gábor on violin. 

The first concert of the summer season guides the audience into the world of modern British alternative pop and contemporary film music. The atmospheric, meditative melodies of London Grammar and the nostalgic, jazz-infused music of La La Land delicately intertwine, transforming cinematic and pop music harmonies into a unique outdoor experience.

Vintage Voices: Edith Piaf & Frank Sinatra 

July 17, 2026, 21:10 

Performers: Botond Szőcs on piano and Csaba Gáspár on violin. 

The second evening evokes the golden age of 20th-century chanson, swing, and jazz. The modern, dynamic style of Zaz, the dramatic chansons of Édith Piaf, and the elegant evergreens of Frank Sinatra will be performed. The atmosphere of Parisian cafes and American jazz clubs comes to life in the castle courtyard during the concert.

Beyond Time: Interstellar & Gladiator 

August 14, 2026, 20:30 

Performers: Botond Szőcs on piano, Csaba Gáspár on violin, and Apor Tóth Györbiró on cello. 

The closing event focuses on the most monumental creations of modern film music. Hans Zimmer's two epoch-making works, the cosmic soundscape of Interstellar and the epic, symphonic melodies of Gladiator, are performed in a new, live orchestration, creating an unforgettable atmosphere in the summer night.
