An evening where the iconic music of cinema takes on new life! Szőcs Botond and Tóth-Györbiró Apor will expertly perform the unmistakable soundtracks from James Bond, Mission Impossible, and La Casa de Papel in special reinterpretations. The concert is part of the Candleglow Castle concert series, held at Kálnoky Castle, where the romantic atmosphere of candlelight blends with the magic of movie music.

Over the course of 58 years, the James Bond series, based on Ian Fleming's novel, has featured 12 actors in the lead role, produced 58 films, and generated immense profits.
The series debuted in 1962 with the famous Doctor No!, starring Sir Sean Connery, at the time Mr. Universe finalist, and continued with iconic actors such as Sir Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig.
The musical score for this film series has involved famous names such as Shirley Bassey, Nancy Sinatra, Paul McCartney, Duran Duran, Madonna, Tina Turner, Adele, Billie Eilish, and Sam Smith, winning numerous international awards, including an Oscar for Best Original Song for the hit Skyfall.

The evening at the castle will also feature music from the Mission: Impossible films, whose soundtrack was composed by Hans Zimmer, and performed by rock bands like Metallica and Limp Bizkit.
Another musical surprise will be the melodies from the series Money Heist (La Casa de Papel), combining soul, funk, and cinematic jazz chords.
Famous songs like Goldfinger, Live and Let Die, Skyfall will be performed on classical instruments, such as cello and piano, by artists Szőcs Botond and Tóth-Györbiró Apor in the wine cellar of the Renaissance castle in Micloșoara, in a magical atmosphere, illuminated by dozens of candles, creating a warm light that invites the audience to dream!

"I am very excited that I discovered highly talented musicians in the Brașov area and the city of Sfântu Gheorghe, who we could send to perform abroad! The James Bond themed concert was a personal idea. This music, performed on symphonic instruments in a very intimate and romantic space (the castle's wine cellar), with candlelight, truly creates a special, contemporary atmosphere, while still being accessible to a broad audience," says Count Tibor Kálnoky.

Szőcs Botond, a renowned pianist known for his unmistakable energetic temperament, became famous in the musical world for the intensity of his artistic experiences and the compelling power of his performances. In 2024, he obtained his doctorate from the Faculty of Music Arts at Transylvania University in Brașov.
Botond has participated in national and international competitions, winning more than 12 first prizes, and most recently received the Musical Excellence Award from the American-Romanian Academy of Sciences and Arts, awarded to the best performer, whether a soloist, member of a chamber ensemble, or accompanist at the Tamás Áron Theatre in Sfântu Gheorghe, where he works as the orchestra leader and pianist. Notable moments in his piano career include concerts both in Romania and abroad, including in China, Vietnam, Cuba, and Dubai.

Tóth-Györbiró Apor (cello), born into a family of musicians, started his musical education in childhood, continuing his professional studies at the "Plugor Sandor" Art High School in Sfântu Gheorghe, followed by the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca. Over the years, he gained extensive experience with various music genres, musicians, and producers from the United States, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Austria, Poland, Lithuania, etc.
He started his professional career during his pre-university education through the "Strike Quartet" string quartet in Sfântu Gheorghe, composed of prominent students from the "Plugor Sandor" Art High School. He was awarded at the National Instrumental Performance Olympiad and had the opportunity to collaborate with several national institutions, such as the Satu Mare State Philharmonic, the Romanian Opera in Cluj-Napoca, the Hungarian Opera in Cluj-Napoca, and the Brașov State Philharmonic. The artist collaborates in multiple projects, such as Sepsi Gospel since 2021, and his most recent experience involves founding the Lilium Quartet.
