The organizers aim to transform music into contemporary stories within the walls of the past, offering true presence and a chance to slow down in a rushing world.

Spring Stories – Spring 2026 Season Program
March 8, 2026, 7:30 PM - Women's Day Concert Perfect Romance: Sheeran & Gaga
At the season-opening concert, the songs of two modern pop giants, Ed Sheeran and Lady Gaga, will be performed by Botond Szőcs (piano) and Csaba Gáspár (violin). In these refined arrangements, Sheeran's intimate melodies and Gaga's dramatic compositions focus on storytelling and emotional arcs. The evening builds a bridge between contemporary pop and classical chamber music, proving the timelessness of these songs. The event offers a perfect opportunity to celebrate Women's Day.
April 11, 2026, 7:30 PM Shadows of Mozart: Requiem reimagined
In the series' most profound evening, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's iconic Requiem is presented in a new light by Diana Ichim (harpsichord) and Előd Gábor (violin). This special chamber music arrangement allows listeners to get very close to the inner layers of the composition. The dialogue between the harpsichord and violin amplifies the spiritual dimensions of the work, while the acoustics of the cellar lend a special intimacy to the performance.
May 9, 2026, 7:30 PM Cinematic Dreams: Tiersen · Einaudi · Vanzo
The closing concert of the spring season guides the audience into the world of contemporary neoclassical and minimalist music. Pieces written with lyrical simplicity by Yann Tiersen, Ludovico Einaudi, and Andrea Vanzo are performed by Botond Szőcs (piano) and Apor Tóth-Györbiró (cello). In the usual style of Kálnoky Castle Concerts, building on silences and subtle vibrations, the concert tells a story of tranquility and new beginnings, an emotional journey into the world of the most beautiful film scores and modern piano melodies.
The venue for the concerts is the wine cellar of the Kálnoky Castle in Micloșoara, which is not merely a concert space but a living historical environment where music and built heritage form a natural unity.
